Here’s a special read for everyone interested in the materials we use. Since starting a lot of things have changed, but one thing definitely remained the same: every time someone touches our clothes, they are super surprised at the softness of the fabrics and here´s why - we work with two main materials for all our products: organic cotton and lyocell. Read along and find out what makes these fabrics so unique.
We work with organic cotton, reducing the amount of pesticides needed in its production resulting in a stronger material which is also safer grown for the environment and its ecosystem. The fabrics we use have also been pre washed which means the fit of the product remains permanently stable from the first time you try it on in store to it´s multiple washes. Good for nature, great for you!
To go a level up, we work with brushed organic cotton. To create brushed a brushed material, the fabric - in our case, organic cotton, is run through a machine which creates micro scratches in the fiber which basically softens and "wears in" the created products. This means you get instant comfort from the second you wear it.
Lyocell is an up and coming fabric - made from the bark of the eucalyptus tree - that we’ve been working with for some time now. It´s silky smooth to the touch and thanks to its charactaristic, makes it an ideal fabric for those of you out there who suffer of allergies. Here’s what we love about it: it’s the perfect fabric for adventure! That’s why most of our products that have the “adventure fit” are made with this fabric. The material has similar characteristics to merino wool which is a go-to for most people active in the mountains, be it on bikes, skis, boards or by foot. The difference to Lyocell in comparison to merino is that it doesn´t itch and it´s cheaper. The material keeps you warm when its cool and cool when its warm. It’s density makes it so that it dries quickly and leaves almost no odour when you’ve had a good sweat. With it´s feel and function, it´s the perfect fabric for adventures and comfort in your day to day.
Our promise and desire to work with natural and sustainable materials doesn’t stop at the fabrics we use, it continues down to the design details. Our summer 2023 collection Beach Cord corduroy shirt has buttons made of recycled paper and our new Creek Shirt flannel will has buttons made of Corzo.
Corzo is a natural material made from the naturally fallen seeds of the Corzo palm tree which creates a non-toxic and biodegradable alternative to plastic materials otherwise often used in the fashion industry.
